Did you do anything in 2012 that you hadn’t done before?
Quite a lot, I think! Had post bariatric surgery, was in my first proper relationship, had a proper job…!

Did any of your friends become parents this year?
Nope!

Did anyone close to you pass away?
Yeah, Nelli did.

Which countries did you visit?
Sweden.

Is there anything you’ve missed this year, that you hope to get in 2013?
My bachelor’s degree!

Which date will in 2012 will you always remember?
Funnily enough, I can remember things that happened, but not really the exact date for any of them. Though I do suppose my surgery was March 26th?

Something you succeeded at this year?
Surgery and work.

Biggest mistake?
Not sure. I feel like I did everything the best I could, and don’t really regret or feel bad about much of anything. Which is both wonderful and frightening.

Best thing you bought?
Plane tickets to London

Did something make you really happy?
Anni, getting accepted for the exchange program, many moments with friends.

Which songs will always remind you of 2012?
Psy – Gangnam Style, Nicki Minaj – Pound the Alarm, Ed Sheeran – Kiss Me.

Were you happier or sadder in 2012 than the year before?
I think I was both, really. The first half of 2012, I was over the moon. This autumn has been a hell of an emotional roller coaster, and I’ve felt absolutely awful for a lot of it. But I think I’ve still been more happy than I have been sad.

Something you wish you’d done more of?
Lived in the moment.

Something you wish you’d done less of?
Lived a panicky hermit life.

Did you fall in love this year?
No (but pretty close).

Favourite TV series?
Sherlock!!

Best book you read this year?
Possibly “The Children’s Book”, which was incidentally the first book I read this year, as well.

Greatest musical finds?
Ed Sheeran.

Something you wished for and received?
A girlfriend, kisses, being accepted to Nottingham, a successful surgery, being able to drink alcohol…lots of things, really.

Something you wished for and didn’t get?
My bachelor’s degree, haha.

What did you do on your birthday in 2012?
Had dinner at La Famiglia with my parents (& birthday drinks with friends at Om Bar two days earlier).

Is there something that would have made your year even better?
A more peaceful state of mind.

What made you feel god?
Being surrounded by people who I liked and who liked me back; having someone I loved and trusted be there for me and getting to be there for them. Feeling better about my body.

Which celebrity were you lusting after the most?
Benedict Cumberbatch.

Did you miss anyone?
Anni, Nelli & Hetty.

The best people you met?
Lots of people at Ovi, my cousin’s kids, my work partner at the first school I worked at.

What are you most proud of?
Being here and feeling good, right now.

Biggest wish right now?
That someone would go out dancing with me tonight!
